  • Times: 10am - 3pm
  • Location: Circular routes beginning and ending at the Hickling Basin
  • Distance: Choose between 3km short route and 20km long route
  • Cost of entry: £10 per adult. £5 per child 12-16. Under 12s go free.
  • Fundraising target: Raise as much as you can!

In light of recent events, Grantham Canal Walk is postponed until further notice.

The canal was built in the 18th century and abandoned in 1936; however it still remains for leisure use. The 20km walk takes in the stunning views of the Vale of Belvoir and boasts sights of the local sights and wildlife. There are 7 bridges along the route, which include the Old Fosse Bridge and the Jericho Lodge Bridge. Whilst many of the bridges have been rebuilt, there is still some original brick to be seen. There is also plenty of history to experience along the way, which includes a living memorial to honour those in World War I!
